Love heart rose tree total fluke - lucky Mummy

I just had to share this picture with you of the rose tree my little girl bought for me two years ago for my birthday. The rose tree has suddenly taken the form of a rose tree love heart. How amazing is that! I am such a lucky Mummy!

I have started creating a den in what was our wild back garden. I have just got all the blackberry bushes cut down and used a rotavator to get the ground flat (£50 to hire for the day.) Beyond that are beautiful trees, just like a fairy forest. The den is made up of Japanese knotweed, twigs, logs and old grass cuttings. A big tree acts as the base. Seriously I have not had has so much fun since I was a little child myself. You know that funny little buzz you used to get when you were young on the magical adventure with your friends, well that was the feeling I had. Hearing my little girl sing and seeing that big smile on her face just made all the hard work worthwhile. It is going to be a creation of love and shear hard work. I am even going to have a go at growing willow to make some fairy furniture for her little hideaway house in the trees. If it grows well I may even make a fairy castle out of willow. Watch this space.

I remember that funny little buzz! Sometimes I still get hints of it. Since I can't be part of the process of this creation, I look forward to seeing how the space transpires. Have you read What Katy Did, by Susan Coolidge? The children in that book had a "bower" that reminds me of your vision of the hideaway house in the trees.

You lucky thing, really, you still get that little buzz. How? Is it when you create your dolls? What a shame you can't be part of the process I bet you could make some amazing den stuff. I know the den is not much to look at right now but it sure blows away all those cobwebs and worries. I just did a search for "bower" and can see what you mean. The story sounds like something I would enjoy. I have put some pictures on my blog for you to see. Great thing about living in Wales is some houses have huge gardens!
