Good morning everyone. I am here to make you laugh first of all. Yes, 1-2 Switch should come with a HEALTH warning!



WARM UP (STRETCH EXERCISES) BEFORE PLAYING

As you can see from this video. There are no stretch moves for this game.


My darling daughter, begged me to play this game, 1-2 Switch. I did not want to play. But as a Mum, I aim to please. And boy am I paying for it now. Only I could sprain my shoulder playing 1-2 Switch Boxing. Years ago, I did Kempo Martial Arts. I should have questioned why this game did not give warm up exercises before playing. But I saw it as just a game.

On the 27th April I sprained my left shoulder. And must have sprained my arm, hand and back. Due to the pain I have been in. I felt nothing until 3:00 am the next morning. Woke up in serious pain. I had no idea I had sprained my shoulder. And tried to sleep it off. 1st May (Bank Holiday) I went to the hospital. I was given painkillers before seeing the specialist. Sadly, the painkillers numbed the pain, so when I was asked to move my arm etc. She could not see the true pain I was experiencing.

I was sent home, and told, it is just that I had not exercised for a while. No mention of sprain. I was given no strong painkillers or sling for my arm.

I spent the week in bed in pure agony. My partner told me to see my GP. I called up and explained the pain I felt was nothing I had felt before. Pure agony. Definitely, not the usual pain you get from exercising. Low and behold the Dr told me the hospital had put on my notes that I sprained my left shoulder. So why was I not told? Dr was shocked I was given no painkillers to take home. And the Physiotherapist questioned why I was not given a sling.

By the way. After going to Physio last week. I feel worse. The other side of my back is now hurting and I have chest pains. And the Left Shoulder I originally sprained feels bad again. It was getting better before Physiotherapy. I don't blame the Physiotherapist. It is just the way they are taught. My body is telling me to heal before exercise. And wait for the pain to stop. I am going to listen to my body from now on. Society is not always right! I am not going to bother with Physio. I am sure it will heal on it's own with rest and diet. Like before.

HOW I DEAL WITH THE PAIN?

Dandelion Ice - Wild Source of Magnesium

I make my own Dandelion Ice. I pick the wild dandelion leaves from the garden and blend them with distilled water. Strain, and place the liquid in the fridge. I also make little Dandelion Ice cubes. These are great. 



MAGNESIUM IS MEANT TO BE GOOD FOR PAIN

Dandelions are a wild source of magnesium. So I also eat these.

The one thing that really, really helps me, is a Japanese Knotweed bath. I blend the leaves and stalks, and strain. I place the Japanese Knotweed water in the bath (no leaves.) Two jugs worth. Pure heaven. It really helps me with the pain. And relaxes me. Our body absorbes chemicals. Not good. If you don't want to use Japanese Knotweed. Try Dandelion. After all Magnesium is good for the healing.
