Our daughter, Melody, really struggled to read and write in school. Now she loves books, and very much enjoys writing fun articles and stories. I believe one day she will write her own singing stories and illustrate them! Stories like these help children to love reading. Especially, if they struggle with Dyslexia.
Here are Melody Angel's old singing stories (2013). We used to visit the Library and pick up beautifully illustrated poetic books, which Melody cleverly turned into Singing Stories:
LONDON MUMS MAGAZINE ALSO BELIEVES WE NEED MORE KINDNESS WITHIN OUR STATE EDUCATION SYSTEM!
London Mums Magazine founder Monica, truly cares about ALL children.
Please read her heart-wrenching article about why she took her son out of a GREAT School, and placed him in a GOOD School. This MUM deserves an AWARD for KINDNESS!
I was not prepared for the fast train State School Education system. Children coming out of school with their reading books on full display. Some parents would compete with the reading books, going back into see the teacher so that their child could be at the highest level. It was as if our children had been entered into some horrific RACE HORSE, and the children were forced to perform. I would urge schools to put reading books in brown envelopes, so children that struggle are NOT made to feel stupid!
Melody used to ask me, "Mum, why do some teachers pick me when I don't have my hand up. They know I am struggling and do not know the answer, yet insist on making me feel stupid in front of the whole class!" This is a very good question. Perhaps some teachers could answer this question?
I feel this is bullying, and it needs to stop.
The problem with State Education is the school books are boring. Especially for Dyslexic children. Sadly, some teachers pick children to read out loud in front of the class, when they know full well they are struggling. This does not help the child, and makes them very self conscious. I beg teachers to please stop doing this. The same is done with Times Tables, nearly every Dyslexic child's nightmare.
If you are blessed with a good memory you will do well in school. For Dyslexic children - they are not so lucky - and have a poor memory. But the upside is DYSLEXIA IS A GIFT. We think differently, and achieve different goals. Home Education gives Dyslexic Children the chance to breathe. Take their time. There are many online courses. We use Cambridge University.
Dyslexia is a gift as stated by Sir Richard Branson, Princess Beatrix, and many other famous Dyslexic people. Currently, I am trying to find out if Prince Harry would give an Interview for London Mums Magazine. Is he also a proud Dyslexic? Monica, the founder of London Mums Magazine believes, as I do, that KINDNESS is missing within our Education System! She took her son out of a GREAT SCHOOL and placed him in a GOOD SCHOOL. Why? Because she is an outstanding and caring mother, who understands her child and his needs:

Whoopi Goldberg explains why people need to stop calling others stupid. This sticks!
It is not KIND. We need more kindness in our world! Well done Whoopi!
Susan Hampshire is a proud Dyslexic!Susan Hampshire, the English actress who has won three Emmy Awards, was born in Kensington, London on May 12, 1937. Her original ambition was to be a nurse, but she could not pass her O-Level exam in Latin. (She found out when she was 30 years old that she was dyslexic, and her work on dyslexia subsequently brought her the Officer of the British Empire award.)

Thomas Edison's Letter from School
The man that created electricity (Thomas Edison) took a SCHOOL letter home to his mother when he was a child. Instead of reading out how the school put him down. His mother told her son he is a genius and needs to be Home Educated! Kindness creates clever people!
If your child struggles with reading. Don't panic!

I FIND IT SAD THAT SO MANY CHILDREN FIND STATE EDUCATION STRESSFUL!
THE PROBLEM WITH STATE EDUCATION:
There seems to be a rush for babies and children to grow up. Slow down. Childhood is short, and should be cherished! Melody never crawled, she rolled from one side of the room to the other. It was adorable. Then she walked. I used to get comments like, "Isn't she crawling yet!"
I smiled and replied, "She will walk in her own good time!"
Next, came the worried remarks about Melody not pronouncing her words correctly. And how they felt she needed to see a speech therapist.
Again, I thought what is the rush, and said, "She is a toddler, and will talk correctly when she is ready, which she did!"

MELODY WROTE TO PRINCE WILLIAM ABOUT HER SINGING STORIES
Sadly, Prince William was unable to attend one of the Libraries to hear her sing the stories, but I very much hope that we can get Prince Harry's support to help change our Education System to give children the kindness and support they all deserve.
Whoopi Goldberg talks about her dyslexia
OUR EDUCATION SYSTEM NEEDS TO CHANGE. WE NEED MORE KINDNESS!
Poor Princess Diana was called stupid because she struggled in school. She was also picked on for the way she looked. Princess Diana loved all children and families, she was a true heroine and a credit to our Country.
Prince Charles may not be Dyslexic, but he had a horrific time in school. Beaten whilst he slept. Very, very sad indeed.

US Teachers vs UK Teachers - How Do They Compare? Hours & Salary Comparison
Many teachers are leaving the teaching profession.
They are stressed out. Too many children to educate.
And they are having to spend their own wages on teaching supplies!
Not to mention they work really, really long hours.
Imagine all the money Home Educators are saving the TAX PAYER! Say, "THANK YOU!"
In the above video, they mentioned how UK State School Students are stressed out. Suffering from anxiety. Well here is the proof:
LEE SIBLEY PETITION AGAINST HOMEWORK, THAT HAS NO RELEVANCE TO EXAMS, AND CAUSES SERIOUS ANXIETY ISSUES!
Lee said, "Children do not want drugs for mental health, they want to be listened to and the pressure taken off!"
Don’t put your exams above your
mental health
ONE BLOGGER SAID, "THEY WOULD BE DEAD IF THEIR MOTHER HAD NOT PULLED THEM OUT OF SCHOOL, AND HOME EDUCATED!"
Quote from Gee Gardner: I know I was, I’d go as far to say that’d I’d be dead if my Mum didn’t pull me out of school when she did. As a child who developed anxiety pretty early on at age 2, then School Refusal Disorder along with a colourful array of other mental health issues, all stemming from me not being able to cope with school.
Now this wasn’t because I had additional learning needs, I was top of most things so I can only imagine how many children who struggle academically as well as mentally with the state of the school system yet here these people are talking about parents who more than likely thought long an hard about their decision to home educate and chose to with their child’s welfare as their main reason for pulling them out, but here is this woman talking about how scary home educating is like we are locking our kids in the cupboard under the stairs Harry Potter style.
EXAMS
Examination wise, I didn’t sit my GCSE’s until college, I smashed them all and left with A*’s and a B and didn’t feel disadvantaged at all. In fact, had I not been home educated I don’t think I will have healed enough from the trauma of school to be able to attend college and sit those exams. Which by the way, have done absolutely nothing to help me get the job I do now.
