Make Lye Free ORGANIC Soap

I ran out of organic soap, and ended up using the standard chemical one from the store. Both my daughter, and my hands feel really dry and sore now. Today, I had a go at making my own soap without Lye, as they say it is toxic. 

After much research, I have found that most soaps contain Lye, including Organic. 

LYE EXPERIMENT

So, I have decided to stick to my wonderful Soap Nuts, which I use to wash the dishes, clean the kitchen surfaces and floor. Wash our clothes, and clean the bathroom. They are also brilliant for cleaning the windows. One thing I can tell you for sure, and that is my hands felt really soft two weeks ago, before I purchased the chemical soap. Normal Washing up liquid used to really dry my hands out too. But not Soap Nuts, they are 100% ORGANIC.

I did try and make a soap nut bar of soap, but it has not worked out very well. However, just popping the Soap Nut liquid into a soap dispenser, works perfectly. Last year, I purchased four boxes of Soap Nuts, they have lasted me approximately nine months. Wish I could find the receipt to find out how much I paid for them. But one thing is for sure, they have saved me a fortune. And take up no space in the kitchen. As well as being good for our environment.

THE TRUTH ABOUT LYE

What are your thoughts about this? Personally for me, I would rather use Soap Nuts, and use a Soap Dispenser, because at least I know the Soap Nuts come from a Tree, and are 100% ORGANIC. Like all soaps, you don't want to get Soap Nuts in your eyes.

INTERESTING BLOG ABOUT MAKING SOAP WITHOUT LYE. HOWEVER, THE IVORY SOAP THEY USE, IS SAID TO DRY OUT THE SKIN.

Free Green Electricity Japanese Knotweed

Green Electricity fascinates me. This morning I emailed Bob Tay, he invented the new Wind Turbine they are erecting in Port Talbot, Wales, UK. I had hoped to arrange a Home Ed field trip to find out more about it. But the project is still on going. There are many Home Ed children who are interested in creating green electricity, so I do hope to plan a visit when it is finished.

I have seen a video on bikes creating electricity. And I know Timothy Lee Scott, author of Invasive Plant Medicine, mentions Japanese Knotweed can be used to create Biofuel. But the question is, "Why are they not using living Japanese Knotweed to create Electricity? Like they are using plants in this video?" After all, Japanese Knotweed grows approximately 1m in 10 days. Imagine if you could store all that energy. I would love to learn more about this! And get funding to carry out a Home Ed experiment. 

I don't know about you, but I think living plants creating electricity will be better for our environment, and pocket.

FREE FOOD NO GMO 100% ORGANIC

I am really enjoying my free foods in the garden. No GMO, and totally organic. Imagine all the nutrients I am consuming thanks to Mother Nature and our garden herbs, they call weeds!
