Sony Camera ZV-E10 ART Student UK

How difficult is it for Art Students to get funding (loans) for Art Equipment such as the Sony Camera ZV-E10 to help further their creative careers? Melody (our daughter) hopes to promote her Art and Music on YouTube 

This Camera takes amazing photographs and has high quality video and sound, so it seems like the perfect fit. 

WE BELIEVE THIS IS A GREAT CAMERA FOR ART STUDENTS

Melody (ART STUDENT) asked her Photography College Tutor about this Camera and he gave this Sony Camera ZV-E10 the thumbs up. She has researched the camera beforehand. Melody was a Child YouTube Artist who received quite a following. She had over 80,000 hits on her original FLOWER ALIEN character design when she was 7 years old. See below image (on the left). Her Art has really progressed since. On the right you can see her Mushroom Alien Character (she created this year age 19 years). Melody hopes to get a Macro lense which will enable her to take high quality shots of her Artwork, and use the Camera for vlogging about Music and Art. She may even teach Art again online. 

STUDENT FINANCE TO BUY ART EQUIPMENT HOW DIFFICULT IS IT?

How difficult is it to get Student Finance for Art Equipment etc? It is very hard to prove who you are in the UK now, especially if you do not have the money for a Passport or Driving Licence. Years ago a Birth Certificate and National Insurance Number was all you needed. Very unfair system, that sadly discriminates against the Working Class. A Driving Licence and Passport are luxury items, that would not get used by a student on a low income. 

I will update this Blog to let you know how we got on with getting Finance for our Art Student Daughter to get this Camera and the Lenses.

I was told that I needed a Charity to do this Art Commission Pet Portrait Competition for our daughter to raise money for her Art and Music Education. And found it impossible to find a charity to support my daughter. Thankfully, after much asking around we found out the Charity was not necessary as it is a Competition and not a Raffle as such.

Even though a kind Councillor said yes to us putting up the Pet Portrait Commission in the Park (A4 Size) the powers that be said "NO!" The British Elite "No" is their favourite word.  We did have some kind friends support us. But we raised under £100, of which we are very grateful, but know if we had support with advertising she would have reached her target. Not enough free support for students in the UK, that is for sure. We will try again this year, but will see if we can get support overseas. The thing that upsets me the most is how the RUGBY in Wales gets all the funding, and the Arts get nothing. Small Businesses fund the Rugby in the Park with £300+ business banners. And we were not allowed to put up a A4 Poster to help Melody fund her Art and Music Education. Very unfair it you ask me! I believe Parks should allow Community Notice Boards. Especially as we have to pay for the park through Council Tax.

MELODY THE SINGER/SONGWRITER AND MUSICIAN

There is already a Melody Angel Singer/Songwriter/Musician in the USA. So even though Melody was named Melody Angel at birth, we do not want to cause any problems for the American Artist; therefore, we changed her Music name to Melody Angelicus. 

Here is Melody's original song Broken Souls, her Dad took her original melody and created the music:

Melody plays the Classical Guitar and Cello. She is also part of a Cello Group. Here she performed her Lockdown Robin song about feeling lonely with a local Orchestra:

Melody's Cello Teacher studied with William Pleeth and Jacqueline Du Pre. She sees great potential in Melody as she can play in Colour. This tutor does not take on beginners but she saw something special in our daughter. We are very lucky to have this Private Mentor and look forward to seeing Melody perform a solo one day.

BESPOKE EDUCATION

Melody is an Artist and hopes to create Character Designs for books and films in the future. She is still studying Art. 

She is also a Singer/Songwriter, Musician and Creative Writer. In the future she hopes to finish her book she is writing, illustrate it and compose/create the music for the story.

I wish Melody had more time to study. She has to spend a lot of time travelling to College and back. Lots of Homework. As Anthony Hopkins (Actor) states, it is very important to relax your brain. I am not sure Students get time to really relax. Quite sad really.

RUGBY GETS ALL THE FUNDING THE ARTS GET NOTHING

Rugby gets all the funding and the Arts get nothing. I could not even put up a A4 poster in the Park to help raise money for my daughters Art and Music Education with a Pet Portrait Competition. The Welsh Government and Swansea Council said "NO." Yet Small Businesses are allowed to pay £300+ for a Banner to support young people who love sports. Not very team like of them to exclude Artists.

Let them paint/draw and work on technique if they want to. Or just let them be free to paint, draw and create. A University Art Teacher said to me, "He wished he had a say over Art Education!"

RUGBY VS ART

Rugby was not something Welsh Actor Anthony Hopkins could play as a child! State Education failed him. He was a lonely only child in SCHOOL, that was made to feel stupid. Acting, Music and Art saved him! My daughter suffered the same, very similar indeed. 

Anthony Hopkins has revealed Actor Richard Burton told him he was not a 'true Welshman' because he could not speak Welsh and didn't pay attention to rugby. The pair grew up in Port Talbot near Swansea, but unlike Hopkins, Burton grew up in a 

Welsh-speaking family. (I find this very sad indeed and rather bullying, poor Anthony)

Many Small Businesses support our children/teens that play Rugby. They pay for £300+ Banners to go along the Rugby Pitch. This promotes their small business and helps out with funding the Rugby. You would think that WALES would celebrate and acknowledge amazing WELSH ARTISTS like Anthony Hopkins, Michael Sheen and Richard Burton etc. But no! The Arts is at the bottom of the pile. Artists are not valued!

THE WELSH GOVERNMENT AND SWANSEA COUNCIL MADE IT CLEAR THAT I WAS NOT ALLOWED TO PUT UP A A4 POSTER IN THE PARK TO SUPPORT MY DAUGHTER AND HELP HER WITH EDUCATION FUNDING

My daughter is very much like Anthony Hopkins. State Education failed to teach her to read, write and spell. She was bullied in school and made to feel stupid like Anthony Hopkins. Melody was also let down by friends. Being an only child is not easy, especially for those that are failed by our heartless British society and Bullying school system.

I want to say to our Government and Education System, "OUR CHILDREN AND WOMEN ARE NOT FOR SALE!" Maybe this is why our children are failed in school:

LEVELLING OUT THE PLAYING FIELD

Here Actor Michael Sheen explains how important it is to support working class children and make sure they get the help they need to succeed in life. Richard Burton, Anthony Hopkins and Michael Sheen all came from a working class town in Wales called Port Talbot. Both Anthony Hopkins and Michael Sheen saw Richard Burton fulfil his dream of becoming an Actor, so that helped them to follow their DREAMS. Back then there was free support, not like today:

When State Education failed to teach my daughter to read, write and spell. I did not give up on her. I used Art, Music and Kindness to make ready fun, not stressful. Dyslexic Thinking made it easy to help my daughter to remember the words she could not read.

I am proud to say my Local Councillor supported my daughter and Home Education as she was failed by the school system. They were unable to teach her to read, write and spell. He funded Melody to teach Art to Children in 2019 and the Local Church gave my daughter a free room to teach in. But I feel ALL our children deserve an Official Written Apology and Compensation for being failed in school and bullied. 

THE LIBRARY WANTED TO PROMOTE MY DAUGHTER AS A HOME EDUCATED BOOKWORM 

The powers that be of course stopped the Library from promoting my daughter as a Bookworm with the Dork Diaries signed book and letter from Rachel Renee Russell. Why? Because the UK Government does not want any Positive Home Education Stories getting out. Control, control, control! We sure proved their Bullying Education System wrong.

Here in the UK children failed by our State Education System are punished and bullied. Parents are threatened with fines and even prison. How is this a Democracy?

WHEN IS STATE EDUCATION GOING TO BE HELD TO ACCOUNT FOR FAILING OUR CHILDREN?

My point is the UK Government are bullying us about Home Educators, but apparently there are 9 Million people in the UK that cannot read, write or spell. 

Even Dyslexic Matt Hancock states that many people in prison cannot read, 50 percent are Dyslexic. This proves Academics in power are not capable of educating all children!
