Letter-writing is not DEAD!
I recently found out that our British Post Office wants to do away with letters. Please help to make letter-writing an Art to treasure and encourage young people to keep it going!
Rajiv Surendra inspired me to create a HANDMADE - hand-written - doodled BOOK for my dear Mum who is very sick in hospital. Thank you Rajiv for being such a true inspiration. I find your videos so interesting and educational. Your wonderful humour and uplifting character brings joy to my heart and you have helped me be creative again. I just love the book and story Rajiv created and the way he reads the story grabs your attention. Such a gifted man of many talents. Beautiful Watercolour illustrations. It is hard to let go of something you have spent many hours/months/years on, I agree.
RAJIV INSPIRED ME TO MAKE A BOOK FOR MY MUM
Rajiv, thank you for inspiring me to make this Handmade, Handwritten Doodled book for my dear old mum. I believe perfection is over-rated. My book is far from perfect. But I know time is of the essence and this book will make my Mother smile. And that is all that counts. Reminding our parents how much joy they have given us as children I feel is very important. Sometimes we can take loved ones for granted, so I try not to.
POSTMAN SONG
I sent my daughter this postcard and video when we were apart.
When I was a little girl we did not have mobile phones or computers. We used to send letters. In the holidays I used to visit my family in Kent so I was away from my friend. Every holiday we would send letters to one another and write this poem I made up on the back of the envelope to make the Postman smile.
Postman, Postman don't be slow
Get on your bike, and go man go
CHILDHOOD AUTHOR HELPED MY DAUGHTER TO LOVE READING
My daughter wrote to her favourite childhood author, Rachel Renee Russell when she was little. And told her how her books had helped her to love reading. Melody could hardly read, write and spell in school. Rachel's books encouraged her to read a big book. And I used Kindness, Art and Music to make reading fun, not stressful. Never stop dreaming! Melody is now a BOOKWORM and hopes to create her own book one day.
