How to make a Flower Alien Mask by Little Snowflake child artist from Butterfly Lullaby art show

Yesterday (23.1.2011 - recent update) I spent my whole day trying to recreate a Flower Alien Mask based on Little Snowflakes original drawing on You Tube called the Flower Alien, using Nintendo DS and Art Academy. We have come up with the most amazing Flower Alien story to go with the mask so stay tuned.

Here is my first attempt at making the flower alien mask. I did not have the right colours and it does not look the same as her drawing. So I am really pleased with my recent attempt above. I just love Little Snowflakes Flower Alien picture, it really inspired me to create the mask, which would be brilliant for children's parties.  Here she is wearing the one I made based on her original flower alien picture, which you can view in the second video below:

The video below is Part 1 of 2 of Little Snowflake creating her very own flower alien mask based on her original flower alien picture above. You can see Little Snowflake drawing the flower alien template for the children's mask free hand and cutting it out. She then places the flower alien template on the foam to create the base for the children's mask and traces round with a pencil.

Part 2 of how to make a flower alien mask by Little Snowflake child artist:

Here is Little Snowflake child artist wearing her original flower alien mask based on her You Tube drawing which has had over 8,000 hits (thanks everyone for supporting her and kind comments.) The above video shows her sketching the design free hand from her hand drawn template, which she uses to trace round foam for the mask. I have to admit I love her flower alien mask, it is far better than my attempt as it has the little mouth and little legs, how cute.

Here is Little Snowflake showing you how to draw her original Flower Alien drawing she created using Nintendo DS and Art Academy:

The Flower Alien story we have come up with together is out of this world. Children have great imaginations!
Little Snowflake and I put together a little box of things to take into school full of her hand made masks for our story based around her drawing of the flower alien. Wish us luck.

It was Little Snowflakes birthday recently. For a special birthday gift I got a lady to make a gorgeous little brooch of Snowflakes Flower Alien design. The lady is remaking another brooch and adding the mouth.

Thank you to everyone that has supported Little Snowflake with kind comments, your comments put a big smile on her face!

I love the picture below of Little Snowflake with the big snowflake she cut out and used to put on as a snowflake hat (snowflake head : )

Thank you for supporting Little Snowflake my child artist - here is her first art and craft video on how to make a clown mask

The how to make a clown mask video is the first arts and crafts video little child artist Snowflake did.

Snowflake had just got back from the Circus with her Dad and she started to make clown masks out of paper on her own. She even made a white glove out of paper like Michael Jackson.

I love it when she says “sorry everybody,” and “you’ve just got to cut, cut, cut.” So cute!

This video is something I will treasure forever as it was filmed before she started to worry about everything. It concerns me because I never worried as a child, I was too busy having fun and managed to switch off from things that made me sad. However, my sister was the complete opposite and it pains me to see her suffer. Because little Snowflake tells me she worries every day I have asked her what stops the worrying and here is Snowflakes list:

1. Arts and crafts
2. Cindy Woo her pet bunny rabbit
3. Watching films

Snowflake loves art and crafts, I hope she makes sad children smile again and helps them to forget all their worries too.

School and eduction is important but sadly it brings with it lots of problems and worries for children of all ages. Home life too can be hard due to low wages. I really hope Snowflakes worries disappear and her art heals her and others.

Snowflakes favourite song is Eliza Doolittle Pack up your troubles :

For any parents that have children that suffer from worrying or anxiety leave a message. Lets find a way to help them without medication. Children need love, support and lots of fun.

2011 a time for change! Sister stay strong - I am proud of your Mother lyrics and for sending Dad the John Lennon song Mother

1st day of January 2011 has been a very sad day for me. The New Year should bring happiness and lots of good things to look forward to, but the truth is a lot of people struggle financially and have a lot of family that suffer from all different illnesses. For some reason in this world people that hurt other people are always the ones the family stick up for. Life sure is unfair. My Sister has been suffering from Anxiety and other mental illnesses for many years.

A few years ago my Sister, Louise M. Bainbridge wrote a beautiful poem on how she feels she has mirrored our Mother's illness. The song is called Mother and you can listen to the song from the You Tube video below that has pictures of us both as children, the days of mud pies and summer nights by the beach:

Lyrics to poem Mother by Louise M. Bainbridge - Music and vocals Jakson Lee

Mother you say
That I have changed
Mother I’m not the person
That I used to be
I have been easily influenced by others
Mother I’m a mirror
Do you not like what you see
Oh mother look deeply
Into my face and tell me it is not
Yourself you see

The above song Mother (poem/lyrics by Louise M. Bainbridge) was played by our local radio station along with other songs by Jakson Lee.

In 2010 Louise, my Sister sent our real Farther a tape recording of the song Mother by John Lennon. I just feel blessed that we both have an amazing step Dad.

Mother, you had me but I never had you,
I wanted you but you didn't want me,
So I got to tell you,
Goodbye, goodbye.
Farther, you left me but I never left you,
I needed you but you didn't need me,
So I got to tell you,
Goodbye, goodbye.
Children, don't do what I have done,
I couldn't walk and I tried to run,
So I got to tell you,
Goodbye, goodbye.
Mama don't go,
Daddy come home.
Mama don't go,
Daddy come home.
Mama don't go,
Daddy come home.
Mama don't go,
Daddy come home.
Mama don't go,
Daddy come home.
Mama don't go,
Daddy come home.
Mama don't go,
Daddy come home...

As a Mother I have many arguments with people about how important it is that children have both parents, as it gives them the confidence and the stability they need in life. Children are not as tough as adults like to make out they are. They do not easily forget when their family is ripped apart for whatever reason. A broken child is a broken adult who grows up with no self worth. I personally find it sad that some people cannot live their life to the full then have children and just be happy to put them first. I would love to hear from people from broken families to hear your views and how not having your Mum and Dad together has effected your life as an adult.

Little Snowflake loves Auntie Lou Lou, and with a love as pure as snow who needs a false love. I love you Sis.
