Addicted to my Google blog - I just love writing and creating videos and pictures

I have to admit I have a serious addiction to my Google Blog. I feel the need to go on it every day and write something, problem is there is not enough time in the day to do everything so the washing up has to go on hold. I used to be so tidy but the house now reflects my life "just one big mess!" When I search for my work I find it usually at the top of Google so it inspires me to write and create more. It does not matter if no one is listening or looking I find it all so therapeutic and it takes me away from the hum drum troubled world I live in. It is not fame I am looking for, but instead the lifestyle and living I feel I am entitled to give my child and that is what keeps me going.

Addicted to Google like a bee to honey!
If I did not have all these problems thrown my way my blog would all be about art, crafts, music and fairies. I wonder if some readers have experienced my nightmare and still keep battling on in the hope for a brighter future?

My little girl was watching I Carly this morning, which is a children's programme. And the storyline was about Spencer (big brother) who wants to be an artist. A great artist had seen his work and told him it was rubbish, which made him give up on his dream. Thankfully there is a happy ending and that is that the great artist admits he is jealous of his work and that is why he said it was rubbish so Spencer continues with his art.

So for all you budding artists and writers out there. Don't listen to nasty people, follow your dreams keep doing what you love doing. If it makes you happy that is the most important thing. I have had so many people put me down and make me feel worthless, but I refuse to let them win. My little girl is not going to have a loser as a Mother she needs to know that there is hope and that if she tries really hard she can achieve just about anything and so can you! And yesterday she showed me even though she hates reading she can write really well. Her Tree poem is brilliant!

My friend said to me "Sharon you are like a tree full of lots of different ideas that just keep branching out, I never know what you will come up with  next! And neither do I! I just flutter from one idea like a butterfly does to a flower. And on this note I will leave you with my Original Butterfly Lullaby video from my Butterfly Lullaby book launch. Remember I made nearly all the costumes from scratch, the photographs in the background were created by me and the song was co written by me with my partner. Borders sold 27 of my books in one month. The only things that stop me are bullies and bad luck. But I will never give up and I want you to keep dreaming too:

Hates to read but loves to draw - what should I do?

My child just hates reading, and I mean hates with a big capital 'H.' Give her a pen and paper and she will draw and draw for hours. Try to get her to read a book and the interest quickly disappears. She will guess the words rather than work them out and is just plain bored and fed up. Today, I thought I would make an extra effort to try and get her to read. Her reply was I want to throw my book in some mud and chuck it out the window. Ok then! I am no teacher and trying to make reading fun is something I struggle with, but I am just so proud of her. Just take a look at her arty handwriting I think it is amazing:

I cannot blame her for not enjoying reading, I was exactly the same! She is just a little version of me and her farther. He hated reading too. But man what a great songwriter he is and she seems to be following in his footsteps as she has written one great song and co wrote one with me. I have always loved writing even though my spelling and grammar is not perfect.

I spoke to one of the Grandma's at school and she told me her daughter hated to read too, but ended up getting a Diploma in English and had the best grades in her class.

At the moment my little girl is making a book for all her stories. She enjoys writing more than reading, guess I have to take the blame for that one! If I get time I would love to share her little witch story she created this year. First she drew all the pictures then she dictated the story from her drawings. I was totally impressed, so it just shows you Mum's and Dad's don't get too stressed out if your child dislikes reading, they all have their own special talents. And all children progress at different stages! I was pleased to hear that the Government are trying to create more apprenticeship jobs as not everyone is gifted with a great memory when it comes to exams.
