DYSLEXIA - I WOULD LIKE TO HELP PARENTS TO MAKE READING FUN WITH THEIR CHILDREN!
If your child loves school. Then I am happy for them. But if they are struggling. Please help them by making reading fun!

DYSLEXIA, DON'T GET RIPPED OFF!
Here is my video on how to help children, with Dyslexia, to read:
HOME IS WHERE THE HEART IS - PROMOTING FAMILY VALUES!
The research is clear: Children raised in homes that promote family literacy grow up to be better readers and do better in school than children raised in homes where literacy is not promoted.

I received the BEST Mum award from Dork Diaries author, Rachel Renee Russell, for my creative ideas in helping Melody with her grammar.
TO READ ...
- Take your child to the Library, and let them pick any book.
- Read with your child.
- Your child cannot learn, if they are being bullied, or made to feel stupid. (Think about Home Education! Sadly, some teachers make children read aloud in class; however, knowing full well that child struggles, and will be made fun of).
- Show your child some fun singing stories.
- Get your child to have a go at reading their favourite book, while you listen.
- Write down every word your child cannot read. Then get them to write the word out three times. And have a go at spelling the word. (Example here in my below video):
EXAMPLE OF FUN, SINGING STORIES:

It is a real shame Prince William could not make it to Swansea, or Weymouth to hear Melody perform her singing stories. Especially, as Princess Diana also struggled in school; however, she made an amazing Queen of our HEARTS! The most loved monarch that ever lived.
THE PERFECT PEN FOR DYSLEXIC CHILDREN/ADULTS
My review on the Frixion pen:
FAMILY JOY SONG ORIGINAL BY MELODY
This was recorded quite a few years ago:
NEVER TOO OLD FOR LEGO RADIO JINGLE
Melody made up this, "Never too old for Lego JINGLE," a few years ago. AMAZING!
She used to create videos for her NEVER TOO OLD FOR LEGO You Tube Channel. I hope she gets back into creating small Lego films again one day: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCqKOQT3NTPn1qzj5Egsb-1w
Melody, our daughter, now has a small Library of books in her bedroom. Her ex teacher, before she was Home Educated, told her that she could not read the book she wanted to. Boy did Melody prove her wrong! Here you can see Melody open up a present from Rachel Renee Russell, the Dork Diaries Author:

(YEAR: 2015)
Melody's old teacher told me, "Sharon, it does not matter what Melody reads, as long as she is reading!" This wonderful teacher encouraged Melody to sing. Here she sings for the first time in school. Note. I had already got her moved class once, having to move her again ... I knew would not be possible. This is why I ended up Home Educating.

MANY BRITISH PEOPLE QUESTION HOME EDUCATION, BUT HARDLY ANYONE QUESTIONS ITA ENGLISH, SOMETHING I WAS TAUGHT AS A CHILD. I AM SHOCKED THAT THEY ARE STILL TEACHING THIS BACKWARDS TEACHING!
Introduction to i.t.a.
When I complained about this video promoting ITA English on YOU TUBE. The video suddenly got taken down. This is a shame. As I would have liked people to see the damage it caused!
When, in 2001, the BBC asked for comments from people who had learned to read with I.T.A., many of the respondents felt that I.T.A. had hampered, rather than helped, their reading and spelling ability.

A LITTLE INFO ON THE ITA READING SCHEME
In the mid-to-late 1960s Ladybird decided to print some of their previously published books using the Initial Teaching Alphabet. Some of the titles printed using ITA were The Fisherman (606b), The Zoo (563), The Farm (563), The Party (563), Jesus the Helper (606a), as well as many more.
In the early 1970s Ladybird dropped the scheme as it proved to be unpopular within the primary education system. There has even been suggestion that children taught using the ITA system have later been found to have learning difficulties.

Richard Branson talks to Made By Dyslexia
Richard Banson explains how he was beaten in school because he struggled with the school work. Sadly, things have not changed much. Children have to go through mental bullying now.
dyslexia - Famous Dyslexics
Mother song Mummy Boo
In this song, Melody thanks me for Home Educating her. She made the beautiful banner one mothers day. Home Education is all about FAMILY! And putting children first.
MOTHER SONG BY DAUGHTER
MELODY, LIKE MOST DYSLEXICS, IS VERY TALENTED AT WRITING, SINGING AND DRAWING!
The beauty of Dyslexia is that Melody created this comic without having to plan it out. It came straight from her imagination.

I got to work with a famous man on children's TV. We were going to create personalised children's stories. (Bad people destroyed my business, but I never, ever give up)!
I am looking forward to making lots of wonderful singing stories with Melody.
She is a true TALENT!
