Sylvanian Superhero

My daughter Melody has written a series of stories about Blaze (black rabbit Sylvanian.) We are waiting for her Daddy to fix the computer so she can animate it for the Library.

We used to have a black bunny rabbit called Cindy Woo, so I created the black rabbit Sylvanian family set by using black food colouring.

Thanks to www.thegirlagainstfluoride.com I have managed to help improve my daughters health by cutting out fluoride. Fluoride made Melody, my daughter, ill.  Fluoride is bad for asthma! Whenever she brushed her teeth it stressed her out because she could not stop coughing up huge amounts of phlegm. In Wales our drinking water is not fluoridated. I called Welsh Water to double check and they told me although the water is not fluoridated at the moment, they are trying to add fluoride to it. I said "They can't do that, because it is a poison!" The lady on the other end of the phone replied "I KNOW!"  Growing pains, similar to what Melody had are related to Fluoride! The fact is you do not have to listen to me. Just do your research. Our kids need their parents to have an open and free mind because their future depends on us! And whatever you do, do not let the dentist coat your child's teeth with fluoride varnish, this is extremely toxic. I am fuming that a temp dentist put this muck on my little girls teeth. The girl against fluoride is taking the Irish Government to court to stop them putting poison in their water. We need to protect our children and help her win!

You must have a great Mum and Dad

A few weeks ago, my daughters father treated us to dinner out. When my daughter thanked a waiter for their service, her replied "You must have a very good Mother and Father to have such wonderful manners!" Melody smiled and said "Yes I do!" When ever I take my daughter into a shop she always says "Thank you!" She thanks me or her father for buying her something and then thanks the sales assistant for their service. And the sales people always comment on how lovely her manners are. I am very proud of her. Even our lovely neighbour said that Melody could help teach other children to say please and thank you. Here are some of Melody's thank you cards she created to send to family to thank them for their gifts.

"Thank you Mummy for cooking a lovely dinner!" This is my daughters favourite dinner. Unlike most children who love chips, she prefers old fashioned dinners. My daughter always thanks me for cooking! I am a very lucky Mummy to have such a wonderful and caring daughter!

I always remember my Aunt telling me that when I was a child I never wrote and said thank you for their presents. So I make sure my daughter writes to everyone, as I feel that good manners are very important in life! My Mum has been ill my whole life, so little things like this, that mean so much to others, were far from her mind. Here is a song I wrote for my lovely Mum. Whenever I was fighting to breathe from a bad asthma attack, as a child, she always made me feel safe and I knew she would get me better. Family is so important!

Best Mothers Day ever. Melody created four Mothers Day songs for me. Something I will treasure forever!

Klimt vase

My Mum inherited some money last year and kindly shared it out. I hate taking money from the people I love. But seeing as I was trying to bring up my daughter on £600 a month and the bank is ripping me off with a 14% high interest rate loan and refused to help me move this loan to my low mortgage. I had no choice but to take it from her. She told me to buy myself something with the money to remember my Great Uncle who died at the ripe old age of 101. So I bought this £12 vase that looks like the work of KLIMT. The flowers are from the garden!

The rest of the money was spent on bills and Melody my daughter. I got her an Ipad from her Nanny's money so she could create her own music and record songs, because she is an entertainer like her father. I would call myself a low maintenance Mum. As I do not go to the hairdressers, or have my nails done. I do not pay for spray tans. And I hardly ever buy clothes for myself. Every penny goes on my daughter!

Girls dungarees make them

I have a pair of dungarees and my daughter loves them. Sadly I could not find anything similar for her. So being the creative minded person I am, I decided to create some. They are not the best. But hey, they are echo friendly as I cut up an old dungaree dress and flower dress that no longer fit me (due to middle age spread, te he.)  She is going to use them for gardening. So I need to make some more. Her friend has a pair, which are easy to get on, so I will look into using different recycled materials.

Build a bear PJ's how to make

Melody, my eleven year old daughter, made the above PJ's for her Build A Bear all by herself. I think they are so cute. She used my old nightdress. The one I cannot fit in now due to the middle age spread, ha ha.

Anyway, Melody did start a tutorial on the above, but did not finish it. She wants to create a little club and teach children how to make Build A Bear clothes. I must get round to creating her new channel, which she asked me to do months ago. Daddy has a kind heart

As I mentioned in my previous blogs, Cindy Woo, Melody's black bunny rabbit disappeared. She still cries from time to time. Saturday just gone Melody went shopping with her Daddy to get a paddling pool. As usual they had all sold out. When she got back she said "Mummy, guess what I've got?" Meet Fluffykins her new bunny rabbit. It has to be said her Dad has a very big and kind heart!

Make Build A Bear Swimming Costume FREE

Melody, my daughter, really wanted a Build A Bear swimming costume. She saw this one on the Build A Bear website. It costs £8 + £3.50 postage.

Then she saw the Build A Bear Toothless Top and said "Mummy I really want both of these, but I do not have enough money!" Mummy had to use her creative mind to come up with a solution.

Save money the Butterfly Lullaby way. My daughter told me yesterday that I inspire her to be creative. She has spent two days creating costumes for her Build A Bear out of recycled clothes. And her friend has really enjoyed her tutorials!
