Melody always wanted a bunny rabbit, and even though I am allergic to everything fluffy because of my asthma, I wanted to make her happy. So we got Cindy Woo. The black bunny. Sadly after getting the bunny I found out she takes after me, and is also allergic. People say get rid of the rabbits to cure the allergy. But getting rid of a child's pet is not the answer! What we have to do is change the way we eat and look for herbal remedies.

We love stinging nettles. They have helped us get off our inhalers. I place stinging nettles in a glass jar. Then add hot distilled water. Leave to cool down and place in the fridge. Consume within 3 days. Also great for hair. My daughters friends sister asked her how did you get your hair so shiny? "Stinging nettles" she replied!
Melody has stinging nettle in the morning and evening. She is a brave girl as she drinks it neat. I just put a small amount in a cup, approx 1 fl oz. I drink about four cups a day. What I do is add the stinging nettle like milk to a cup and then top it up with hot water. You can also buy nettle leaf capsules.
All we need now is to get the itchy eyes, allergy symptoms sorted. Especially Melody's hay fever, and her poor nose. My friend is an ex nurse and she told me that diary products are bad for asthma. So we have cut out cheese and milk. I try to use Olive Oil instead of butter. We are eating more veg and fruit. Anything to just feel healthy and not be allergic to Melody's fluffy pets. I read that it takes a month for the stinging nettles to really get in your system. These are meant to help with allergies as well as asthma.
