I wrote this song In tangled in time (she paints many colours) based on all us struggling artists. The song is based on how I feel and how other artists no doubt feel. We long for the sea view, to paint all our dreams, a pallet of colours, for you and for me.
Chorus: "No one is watching, no one really cares, they can't see our colours, which we want to share:"
Don McLean inspired me to write this song, it is purely from the heart and is very real. I don't need happy pills I paint on a smile on my face for my child and all my friends because I believe in hope. You have to make things happen yourself in life and that means never giving up.
In the video below you can hear part of my song about longing for the sea view. The video I took last night at my friends cottage. I met Nicki at a craft show she was making beautiful mosaic pieces for the home. Sadly she has had to give up on her dream and go back to Brighton. I miss her! But I am glad she is still creating beautiful mosaic pieces which you can see at her holiday cottage in Mumbles by the sea. I think you guessed it my song is inspired by my friends sea view in Wales, which reminds me of New Zealand. So if you are looking for somewhere by the sea to create beautiful pieces of art this is your place. It is Wales best kept secret! Amazed the Olympics are not held here for the sailing!
Song by Sharon J. Bainbridge / Music and vocals Jakson Lee:
IN TANGLED IN TIME (SHE PAINTS MANY COLOURS)
She paints many colours
She draws many things
The beauty surrounds her
Is not from within
Her childhood her freedom
The loves lost and died
Her pallet is empty
No feelings to hide
No one is watching
No one really cares
They can't see her colours
Which she wants to share
For she's just an artist
With dreams such as mine
A love that's in tangled in time
Chase many rainbows
They scatter her tears
The storm that's within her
Discolours her fears
She longs for the sea view
To paint all her dreams
A pallet of colours
For you and for me
For she's just an artist
That nobody knows
her pallet is empty
Her dreams are disclosed
They don't see her paintings
Her creations of love
The struggles before her
Take route in the dust
Rainbow your pallet
Close your eyes and dream
Who cares if there watching
Who needs to be seen
My partner Jakson Lee has changed this song a little by not including the last two verses. Instead the chorus has been repeated, which does make it into a pretty and sad song: "No one is watching , No one really cares, They can't see her colours, Which she wants to share .....
I would like to say to all you struggling artist "people that put you down want you to fail, don't give them that satisfaction!" Keep dreaming and creating beautiful things. Art is for everyone not just the rich!
I want to thank Maggie and Ric from the Enchanted Manor for trying to get the video I created for them on This Morning TV show. I wrote the lyrics to the Enchanted Manor song and Jakson Lee created the music and vocals. I have a file full of problems with Butterfly Lullaby from day one. These things are meant to try us!
