My daughter and her friends love these Blackberry Ice Pops. Children are so clever, the other day the kids were in the kitchen playing around and made some ice pops by just pouring squash into the ice cube trays and adding lolly sticks. I would never have thought of this, would you? Anyway we picked a load of blackberries from the garden. I washed them, simmered them with water and added sugar to sweeten the taste. Then sieved them into a bowl. My daughter loves hot blackberry juice, the rest went into a jug to cool and we poured some into the ice cube trays, added lolly sticks and hey presto, yummy ice pops that the kids just love. I have not had a chance to taste one as they are gone in a flash, so will have to make some more.
